Who we are

ASAFA is the independent industry association for sustainable aviation fuel across Asia. We're based in Singapore and work across the region: producers, airlines, investors, and the policy and technical bodies shaping how SAF actually gets used.

Why ASAFA exists

Founded in late 2024, ASAFA formed because the region's SAF conversation was happening in fragments: individual companies, individual governments, individual conferences, with no shared, independent voice representing the industry as a whole. ASAFA is that voice. We're not a producer, an airline, or a certifier, so we're not defending any one commercial position; we're defending the sector's ability to scale credibly.

What we do
  • Capacity building. The ASAFA Academy, our tiered training program from free introductory modules through to the International SAF Professional designation.
  • Policy advocacy. Working directly with regulators across Asia on CORSIA compliance, SAF eligibility frameworks, and trade policy.
  • Member communications. Keeping the industry current on certification schemes, feedstock dynamics, and regulatory change as it happens, not months later.
  • Events. The IPS conference series and regular webinars, bringing the region's SAF community into one room.
  • Publication. We publish industry white papers with insights from our members and partners.
